Company Philosophy

Colossians 3:23-24
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

As the verse demonstrates, the ultimate overseer of my life and this company is the Lord Christ.

You may or may not be a believer in a higher power, or you may adhere to different religious beliefs, but I encourage you to read through this document to understand the motivations behind the company philosophy.

And hey, you were curious enough to click on it! 😉

The purpose is not to force any particular beliefs onto anyone, but share why the company and I (crusherfire/Jacob) make certain decisions and what motivates company work.

A Little More About Me (crusherfire)

I grew up in a “Christian” household (albeit quite a dysfunctional one), but remained rebellious towards the idea of religion until my 18th year of age.

Origins of the Original Course

When I made the first scripting course, I was 17 years old and trying to get away from the annoying 9-5 work cycle.

I was primarily motivated by money, being my own boss, dictating my own work hours, and making a better life for myself.

It was fueled by a lot of worldly desires and materialism, and I can admit that the original course was not my best work or full effort, despite the praise I received from hundreds of students.

At the same time, there were plenty of complaints and suggestions made by other students who voiced problems in the original course.

Pride

Being bombarded with praise and rebuke, it became more natural for my flesh to lean towards the praise of man and be offended by the rebuke of others.

This is a common symptom of pride, one of the greatest evils that darkens our hearts, blinds our eyes, shuts our ears, and makes us live in vanity.

Pride fueled my decisions. I became obsessed with “getting my bag” at the expense of people. I saw others as an opportunity to climb higher up.

Relationships became entirely transactional.

“What can you do for me?”
“How can you be useful to me?”

When pride fills your heart, it kicks out love at the same time.

Pride is concerned about me, me, me and ignores the desires or concerns of others.

It is truly an empty, vain, and sorrowful way to live.

Greed

Greed is an offshoot of pride, still focused on the me, me, me, but doing everything possible to obtain more money.

Money is your god.

If something can help you obtain more money, then that something is beneficial for you.

If lying makes you more money, then you will lie.
If cheating makes you more money, then you will cheat.
If taking advantage of others and breaking contracts with people will make you more money, then you will do such things.

I’ve been witness to the destructive effects of greed in my own life and in the life of other close relatives.

Instead of relationships with other people being priority, getting more money becomes your priority.

This also is an empty, vain, and sorrowful way to live.

Introduction to Love

Jesus became more noisy in my life towards my late teenage years.

My sister would send me videos from time to time, my mother would talk to me about it from time to time, and I’d see videos pop-up in my feed of people talking about Jesus.

But I had zero interest in this “Jesus” guy.

In fact, I decided to lean in harder to build up my knowledge against Jesus so people would leave me alone.

I had never read the Bible, so it was my time to shine, dive into it, and find flaws in the character of Jesus.

And yet the more I read about Jesus, His philosophy, His promises, His claims, and His character, I was blown away.

His wisdom was unlike anything I’ve ever heard, He was unlike anyone I’ve ever met or interacted with, and He was consistent.

You know how hard it is to be consistent and not contradict yourself? And yet this Jesus had conjured up such a perfect philosophy that I could not find any flaws.

So around the age of 18, I started heavily diving into the Bible and trying to understand what its message of love was all about:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“For God so loved the world…”

I discovered that love first starts with God, and the Bible communicated a profound fact:

1 John 4:7-9
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

The Bible was rebuking me.

The Bible was telling me I did not know God because I did not love other people, and I had to swallow that fact, even though my pride would disagree.

I had no love because I desired to use other people for my benefit.

…that he gave his only begotten Son…

Another profound fact of love I learned is that it involves sacrifice.

Love has a cost associated with it. It’s a decision you make that causes you to lose something for the benefit of another person.

My transactional relationships were not loving because I was always expecting to get something in return.

The Bible was communicating something completely different:

Luke 6:35-38
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

And the Bible further communicated another profound example of the love of God:

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Christ died for me.

Not only did He die for me, but He died for me when I was His enemy.

God humbled Himself to take on the form of a servant, lived among us, and then died for us.

Romans 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

When could I ever die for someone I appreciated?
Heck, when could I ever die for someone who was my enemy?

And yet Christ did so for me.

This is when I learned what love was.

Love is a choice made with an associated cost to yourself that benefits another person with no expectations or transactions in return. This is known as agape love.

It was at that time I realized I had no love in my life, nor did I even know who God was.

Walking in a New life

After repenting of my pride and believing the gospel, I started going through a process of dying to my old self.

I went with my Uncle on a trip to California and got baptized in the ocean. I was fully invested into my new walk and there was no turning back.

Over the following years, the fruits of my old self were being killed off, like greed, selfishness, ego, anger, lack of patience, and other evils.

It wasn’t me doing it. My flesh is evil. But it was all Jesus.

John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

My personal relationship with God has a long way to go, but each day my aim is to be conformed to the image of His Son:

Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

New Motivations for the Course

My walk with Christ serves as the motivation for this new course.

I mentioned earlier how I did not put my best effort into the original course. I was motivated by my own selfish desires.

By the grace of God, it is now my goal to put as much as my effort into the rehaul as possible so you can receive as much value as possible.

Why? Because I want to work for my Father in heaven and be in daily gratitude.

1 Corinthians 10:31
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Everything on this earth will be destroyed and I’m going to eventually die, so it’s illogical to place my eggs in the earth basket.

Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

I want to put emphasis on the heaven basket. As I came into this earth with nothing and will leave with nothing, except things that are eternal, like relationships built with brothers and sisters.

1 Timothy 6:7
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Concluding Remarks

If you’ve read this far, thank you!

I hope this answers any questions relating to motivations behind the course, and if you have more questions, feel free to reach out in the Discord server or email me at contact@crusherfiremedia.com.

My only remaining comment is that Jesus loves you and I hope you spend some time reading about who He claimed to be and the promises He made to you.

It’s not a religion, it’s a personal relationship.

John 4:21, 23-24
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Guiding Scripture

This contains passages and verses from the Bible aimed towards guiding business decisions, especially financial decisions.

Proverbs 13:20
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gotten vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

Proverbs 15:16
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.

Proverbs 16:8
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

Luke 12:15
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Proverbs 3:9-10
Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

1 Timothy 6:6-7
But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Proverbs 21:20
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

1 Timothy 6:9-11
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Ecclesiastes 5:10-12
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?

The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

Proverbs 30:8-9
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

1 Timothy 6:17-19
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Luke 16:10-15
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Proverbs 16:2-3
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Proverbs 23:20-21
Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:

For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

1 Corinthians 14:40
Let all things be done decently and in order.

Proverbs 14:23
In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

Proverbs 28:6
Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

Proverbs 28:20, 22
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

Psalm 37:16
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

Proverbs 21:6
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

Jeremiah 17:11
As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
